Job Type: Full-Time; Permanent 

Salary: $28.40 per hour

Number of positions: 2

Work location: 74 BAYHAMTOPN DRIVE, Brampton, ONL6P 2S7 and need to drive truck across various locations in Canada and America
Start date: As soon as possible.

Job Responsibilities

• Operation of Tractor-Trailer to transport goods and materials over long distances.
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute and post trip inspection of vehicle system, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, turning signals, brakes, and cold storage.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, fuel consumption and prepare trip envelope.
• Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management.
• Record rest periods, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with supervisor/dispatcher and customers to organize routing and delivery schedules.

Job Requirements

• Class 1 driver’s license or equivalent.
• Air brake endorsement.
• Experience as a long-haul truck driver would be an asset.
• Functional English.
• Clean Driver’s abstract.
