  Job Description

Telecommunications Technician's Responsibilities:

 

·        Configure operating systems and install necessary software to enable Internet access.

·        Examine and test the functionality of telecommunications devices.

·        Set up, dismantle, and upkeep various telecommunications devices and systems, including telex and fax, cell phones, internet and other related equipment.

·        Identify and pinpoint faults in equipment, making necessary adjustments, replacements, or repairs to ensure optimal performance.

·        Install and maintain systems for mobile communication, ensuring all equipment is functional and up-to-date.

·        Perform routine inspections and operational tests on telecommunications equipment to guarantee consistent performance.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with telecommunications devices, conducting repairs and replacements as needed.

 

Qualifications:

College Diploma

2+ years of experience in the trade or completion of an apprenticeship program

 

Salary: $34.15 per hour

Full-time employment
