Golden Fortune Restaurant is a modern Chinese restaurant well-regarded in the local community. Known for its elegant design and comfortable dining environment, Golden Fortune offers a wide variety of dishes ranging from traditional Chinese cuisine to more contemporary Asian-inspired meals. The restaurant serves both dine-in and takeout customers, with a menu that features popular items such as stir-fried dishes, noodle and rice combinations, dim sum, seafood specialties, and family-style meals.

Golden Fortune is committed to providing high-quality food and attentive customer service, bringing authentic flavors and a warm atmosphere to every dining experience. The restaurant also offers convenient services such as phone-in ordering, online ordering, and party tray options for family gatherings and special occasions. We are currently seeking a full-time front-of-house Host to join our team and ensure a smooth and pleasant guest experience from entry to exit.

Main duties:

·       Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly and professional first impression of the restaurant.

·       Manage guest seating by maintaining the waitlist and assigning tables in an efficient and organized manner.

·       Take reservations via phone or in person, record booking details accurately, and confirm guest arrangements for large groups.

·       Escort guests to waiting area or their tables and explain any ongoing promotions or specials.

·       Answer guest inquiries about the menu, restaurant layout, or services offered.

·       Communicate effectively with serving staff and kitchen team to coordinate seating flow and minimize wait times.

·       Monitor dining room cleanliness and presentation, ensure tables and surrounding areas are tidy and welcoming.

·       Assist with basic front-of-house tasks during peak hours such as accepting payments, organizing takeout pick-up, refilling water, tracking guest feedback.

Skills and Qualifications Requirement:

·       Completion of secondary education is required.

·       Previous experience in food service or customer service is an asset.

·       Outgoing and friendly personality.

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

·       Demonstrated enthusiasm for the food service industry and genuine interest in working with guests

·       Ability to multitask and stay composed in a busy, fast-paced environment.

·       Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·       Willing to commit to a long-term employment.
