We are seeking a Renovation Carpenter to join our team in Toronto, ON.

Job Location: Various job sites (residential and commercial) in the city of Toronto, M4C 1J8.

Job type: Full time, permanent, 40 hours per week

Wages: $33/hour

Number of positions: 1 (one)

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Utilize tools like levels and plumb bobs to ensure that structures are vertical or horizontal, constructing door or window frames, staircases, and flooring.

·         Read and interpret blueprints for structures to be built. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.

·         Interior & exterior framing, using wood & steel studs. Be proficient using levels, lasers, squares.

·         Prepare window & door rough openings for installation, including blue skin & flashing installation.

·         Install drywall & tile backer.

·         Install windows, doors, baseboard, mouldings and hardware.

·         Prime and paint walls & ceilings

·         Perform re-bar installations and concrete forming

·         Erect temporary structures such as scaffolds and hoists ensuring safety measures

·         Be responsible for maintaining workplace clean & tidy and ensure that workplace is safe.

QUALIFICATIONS

There are no specific educational requirements for this position. At least three years of relevant work experience is required. Valid Driver's License.

Will perform work inside or outside in a variety of weather conditions.

Sometimes work at heights, dusty or noisy work sites. Some projects will require you to work on weekends, evenings or overtime.

Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity; bending, crouching, kneeling.
