  Job Description

Production Manager(Manesar)-We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Factory Head for Furniture (wood & metal works).

Primary Role & Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement plans for the factory’s initial setup and its continuous running

2. In charge of factory’s departmental hiring, training and development while adhering to budgets: Carpentry, Painting, Welding, Upholstery works, Machine Operators, Storekeeping and Inventory, Accounts, QC & packaging departments to be set up and fully functional

3. Manage the plant's daily operations, production and workforce (all departments) to ensure objectives, production targets and safety standards are met

4. Schedule production to meet deadlines. Keep wastages and costs under strict control. Monitor overall factory performance for production, quality and safety standards.

5. Schedule building and equipment maintenance as required; regularly walk the factory floor to monitor factory staff performance and to identify potential issues.

6. Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and manpower.

7. Maintain zero accidents at factory.

8. Analyze production data to identify and resolve any production issues. Further prepare production reports and submit them to key decision-makers.

9. Regularly inspect finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.

10. Motivate factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.

Required Qualification

a. Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent

b. Minimum total experience – 10+ years overall, 5+ in wood / metal furniture factory operations and manufacturing processes involved. (Retail, Commercial , Residential Furniture knowledge)

c. Prior management and supervisory experience (3-5 years), with hiring responsibilities.

d. Technical expertise in wood and metal furniture & their involved machineries a must. Additional knowledge about paint, fabrics, finishing and furniture design drawings are a plus.

e. Quality and safety conscious; detail oriented.

f. Leadership ability to “get things done” while handling a team of workmen / multiple departments / labor staff. Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.

g. Residing in or close to Gurgaon (or willing to relocate) for this intensive, hands-on role

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
