Vehicle Operation and Transportation• Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials over short and long distances • Drive on assigned routes and follow delivery schedules as provided by dispatch• Ensure safe operation of vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and transportation regulations Safety and Compliance Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including brakes, tires, lights, steering, and other critical systems• Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal transportation laws, including hours-of-service regulations• Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or loss during transit• Maintain accurate driver logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records, Record mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times, and inspection results• Complete bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other transportation documents accurately• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, delivery schedules, delays, or issues• Provide updates on delivery status and report any incidents or accidents immediately· Adapt to changing weather conditions, routes, schedules, and operational requirements· Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when required 2.Performing basic vehicle maintenance / minor repair tasks for reliable operations:· Conduct routine vehicle inspection · Checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness· Identify mechanical issues and report safety concerns promptly to management· Preferably perform troubleshooting breakdown and minor running repairs· Ensure assigned vehicles are kept in clean and road-worthy condition· Keep track of vehicle servicing schedules 3.
