Brief job description

This role will involve overseeing all on-site aspects of construction, landscape design, gardening services, and facility maintenance, including the installation of softscape and hardscape surfaces. We are seeking an individual who can help our business grow by focusing on customer engagement, design, tendering, project execution, and building a strong team. The ideal candidate should prioritize reliability, be eager to take on more responsibilities, be keen on supervisory and training skills, and cultivate a high-performing team. ·       Work setting:                              Various locations in Toronto and the GTA. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

 

RESPONSABILITIES

 

Tasks:

  • ·       Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns

·       Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns

·       Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work.

·       Drive to and from job sites.

·       Install landscape construction projects, including site preparation, hardscapes and softscapes.

·       Train crew members in proper landscape construction techniques.

·       Give input on hiring new staff, supervise and schedule staff

·       Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property Schedule work

·       Plan and direct grounds maintenance

·       Plan and estimate labour and materials

·       Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work

·       Maintain work records and logs

·       Repair and maintain equipment

·       Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

·       Perform the same duties as workers supervised

 

Supervision:    3-4 people

 

Experience and specialization
