  Job Description

A professional family in BRAMPTON, ONTARIO requires an experienced LOCAL Nanny/ Child Caregiver with recent relevant, paid childcare work experience to care for their two young children, one of whom is Special Needs and supervise their activities when parents are away at work.

Days Off: Two Days Off Per Week

Optional Accommodation (Free furnished room with a lock on the door for privacy and all meals and utilities free) available at no charge on a live in basis.

Childcare Duties and Responsibilities:

        Care for children’s needs when parents are at work;

        Prepare special food for older child who is Special Needs and has a medical condition and  help him with his bathing and dressing and getting ready for school.
– Supervise their activities;

        Change the younger child’s diapers, make and feed formula and soft foods, Clean and sterilize bottles

        Help feed, bathe and dress children; Read to them, play with them, take them to the park and activites etc.
– Cook simple meals, make packed lunches and ensure that children have their meals on time
– Tend to emotional well being of children
– Perform light housekeeping chores around children’s needs and do their laundry, fold and keep away their clothes
– Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
– Keep children’s living and play areas neat and clean, hygienic and organized
– Maintain a safe, secure and organized home environment for the children

Salary

$20. TO $22. Per Hour for a 30 Hour work week 

Education Requirements

-Must have Canadian High School Diploma, have completed High School or have equivalent education from elsewhere.

Essential Skills

Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be warm, loving, kind, Honest, trustworthy, reliable, punctual, flexible, neat and clean and organized and must have initiative and be able to bond well with children and keep them safe and follow their routine.

Experience

– Must have One to Two years of Full-time, Paid, relevant Childcare & Infantcare Work Experience within the last three years. Previous work experience with Special Needs children would be an asset but NOT a Must have.

Languages

Must Be Fluent In English

Weight Handling

-Should be able to handle upto 10 kgs

Work Settings

-Urban Setting
-Work in Employers' house

Additional Skills

Must be warm, loving, kind, competent, mature and genuinely fond of working with young, school-aged children and be able to follow their routine and keep them engaged with age-appropriate, fun, educational activities, be able to help him with home-work if possible and guide children’s social and emotional development.
