Equipment Installer

We are currently seeking an Equipment Installer to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. 

Details of the position are as follows:

·       Duties:

o   Installation of laundry and fabricare equipment and venting

o   Completing installation that meets company quality standards.

o   Measuring and marking guidelines to be used for installations.

o   Uploading photos and completing installation order.

o   Completing orders and using company calendar for scheduling.

o   Following and carrying out instructions provided by the Installation Manager.

o   Making sure all equipment is functioning properly before leaving the job site.

o   Setting up and explaining equipment in a comprehensive way.

o   Providing technical service, when required.

o   Dealing with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.

o   Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

·       Position Requirements / Skills:

o   Completion of secondary school.

o   Valid Ontario Driver’s License and insurability to drive vehicles is required.

o   Ability to travel across Ontario.

o   Experience installing laundry and fabricare equipment and venting, preferred.

o   Flexibility in scheduling, ability to work evenings, and if necessary, occasionally on weekends.

o   Ability to understand and follow work order specifications, instructions and installation procedures.

o   Possess basic handyman skills.

o   Maintaining punctual attendance and working flexible schedules as needed.

o   On-the-job training and several months of related installing, repairing or servicing experience usually required.

o   A mechanical and electronic aptitude.

o   The ability and initiative to work independently with accuracy.

o   Organized and client focused.

o   Reliable and able to work in a team environment as required.

o   Ability to effectively communicate with customers, clients, supervisors, and/or co-workers

·       Working Conditions:

o   Physically demanding

o   Handling heavy loads

o   Heavy travel involved

o   Traveling to remote locations

·       Language Requirements: English

·       Wages: $24.00 per hour / Overtime rate of $36.00 per hour after 44 hours of work per week

·       Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime.

·       Benefits: 10 days’ vacation, and standard company benefits upon completion of probationary period, including dental, health, prescription drugs, educational assistance, and vehicle allowance.
