Pizza Pizza Pitt Meadows is looking for a reliable dedicated cooks on urgent basis.


 Job Description

  • Prepare and cook complete menu items individual dishes and special meals
  • Run food from the kitchen to the counter on demand
  • Set up and stock kitchen stations with necessary supplies to prepare food for service (chopping vegetables meat making sauces butchering  etc.)
  • Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blenders ovens grills fryers etc.
  • Handling multiple food orders at one time.
  • Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation/hygiene regulations.
  • Clean up station and store leftover food
  • Manage and train staff such as food servers dishwashers and kitchen helpers
  • Prepare plate presentation procedures.
  • Determine size of food portions
  • Track and report food waste issues
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils


 

Candidate(s) should have:

  • Minimum completion of secondary.
  • 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience
  • or Completion of college or other program in cooking
  • or completion of a 3 year apprenticeship program for cooks
  • or food safety training  with minimum of 6 months on the job training
  • Ability to speak understand and write in English
  • Ability to work in kitchen for extended hours.

Job Type: Full-time Permanent

Salary: $ 18.00 per hour

Schedule: 32-40 hours/week

Language: English

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working conditions: Early morning Morning Day Evening Weekend Overtime
