Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently load, unload, and transport construction materials around the site. Ensure that all materials are handled with care to avoid damage and support ongoing projects.
  • Actively assist skilled tradespersons including carpenters, bricklayers, roofers, and glaziers. Provide necessary support to facilitate the completion of their tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain the construction site by levelling earth to fine-grade specifications using tools such as rakes and shovels. Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized to uphold safety and operational standards.
  • Perform a variety of tasks as directed by the construction manager or site supervisor. These activities may include but are not limited to setting up scaffolding, removing debris, and preparing equipment or tools for use.
  • Ready sites for construction activities, including setting up temporary structures and safety measures.
  • Prepare and supply tools and materials to tradespersons, ensuring that all resources are in excellent working condition and available as needed.
  • Work directly under the supervision of skilled tradespersons, helping with hands-on tasks and learning the trade basics.
  • Monitor and uphold stringent safety guidelines to protect all team members on the site.

 

Qualifications & Skills

·       Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.

·       Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

·       Ability to understand and follow safety regulations.

·       Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks.

·       Strong communication and teamwork skills.

·       Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
