Description:
Load and unload construction materials and transport us to designated work areas.
Set up and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades as needed on construction sites.
Assist in the mixing, pouring, and spreading of materials like concrete and asphalt.
Support various tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, and roofers in our construction tasks.
Aid heavy equipment operators by attaching special equipment, guiding equipment movements, and assisting with other tasks.
Align pipes and assist in drilling and blasting activities during pipeline construction.
Assist miners with excavation and operation of drilling machinery in surface mining.
Grade earth to specific specifications using rakes and shovels.
Assist in building demolition, salvaging materials, and cleaning up debris.
Operate pneumatic tools and other equipment as required.
Maintain and lubricate equipment such as hoists.
Direct traffic around construction sites when necessary.
Handle chemical spills, remove hazardous materials like asbestos, and clean contaminated areas.
Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors on construction sites..
Requirements:
Pipeline workers, mandrel operators, and preheater tenders may require at least 1 year of experience in oil and gas pipeline construction.
Flag men/women may require a traffic control certificate.
Riggers & slingers may require a rigging certificate.
On-the-job training may be provided.
Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety regulations.
Salary: $20.00/hr
Overtime: $30/ hour
Vacation: 2-3 weeks & 3 personally paid sick days
