**SOUS CHEF - Full-Time Position****Job Description:**El Pueblito is an authentic Mexican restaurant in Bracebridge, Ontario, and we are looking for an experienced and passionate **Sous Chef** to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position, and we are seeking a dedicated professional with a love for Mexican cuisine and a strong ability to lead a kitchen team.As a Sous Chef, you will be a key player in our kitchen, assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management.**Key Duties and Responsibilities:*** Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.* Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, ensuring all procedures are followed and standards are met.* Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, specializing in authentic Mexican cuisine.* Help to create new menu items and specials, contributing to the restaurant's culinary creativity.* Manage kitchen inventory and ordering, ensuring a steady supply of fresh ingredients.* Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation.* Train new kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.* Work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, and support a positive team atmosphere.**Qualifications and Requirements:*** **A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience** as a cook in a commercial kitchen is mandatory, with previous experience in a leadership or sous chef role considered a strong asset.* Proven knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and inventory management.* Experience with Mexican cuisine is a significant advantage.* Strong communication and organizational skills.* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.**Position Details:*** **Employer:** El Pueblito* **Business Address:** (Insert full business address here)* **Location of Work:** Bracebridge, Ontario* **Terms of Employment:** Full-time* **Salary:** $25.00 Per Hour* **Expected Hours:** 35 to 40 hours per week.**How to Apply:**Interested candidates should send their resume and cover letter to **elpueblitobracebridge@hotmail.com**.
