Job description:

Job Duties:

• Involve in Children programs to promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Assist the ECE to plan activities by reading stories, teacher songs, taking children to field-trips of interest
• Always maintain healthy and safe learning environment for children
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Assist evaluating the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
• Help ECE keep records on individual children, including observation for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Attend staff meeting to discuss progress and problems of children

Requirement:

• Must Have BC Early Childhood Educator Assistant License to Practice.
• Be fluent in English (written and orally), additional languages an asset.
• Have excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to follow practices and procedures set out in the Ranch Park Kids Place policy and procedure manual.
• Ability to supervise and reflect upon the duties of both volunteers and practicum students.
• Understand child growth and development for children ages 2.5 to 5 years.
• Ability to physically complete the duties of the job. Including sitting, standing for long periods, twisting, and carrying children

Weekly Hours : 30-40 hours / week

Wage: $20.00 / hr

Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay

Work hours: 8:00am-4:30pm / 9:00am-5:30pmJob
