Description:

  • Perform various tasks including carrying materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting other workers by holding materials or working alongside them.

  • Operate both hand and power tools as necessary for construction tasks.

  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades at construction sites.

  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.

  • Engage in physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches and mixing concrete.

  • Assist heavy equipment operators by securing attachments, guiding them, and providing assistance with various activities.

  • Aid in aligning pipes and performing tasks related to oil and gas pipeline construction.

  • Assist with drilling and blasting rock at construction sites.

  • Participate in building demolition by using prying bars and other tools, as well as cleaning and stacking salvaged materials.

  • Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in construction, such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.

  • Handle cleanup of chemical spills and other contaminants, and assist in the removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos.

  • Perform maintenance tasks such as oiling and greasing hoists and similar equipment.

  • Clear rubble and debris from construction sites.

  • Assist in directing traffic at or near construction sites as needed.

Requirements: 

  • have experience in some sort of construction labor is required 

  • pipeline workers, mandrel operators and preheater tenders may need at least 1 year of experience in oil and gas pipeline construction 

  • flag men/women may require traffic control certificate 

  • Riggers & slingers may require a rigging certificate 

  • on-job-training may be provided
