Responsibilities
Tasks
· Assist health care professionals and develop information materials for patients.
· Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices.
· Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments.
· Perform general clerical duties, process files, and do the needful paperwork.
· Assist and help the medical examiner in charge and physical therapists.
· Set up, clean, maintain and dismantle the equipment after the use.
· Process claims such as health insurance or workers’ compensation.
· Maintain inventory of equipment and other supplies in the clinic.
· Keep a record of the patients throughout their treatment.
· Prepare and maintain the cleanliness of collection areas.
· Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history.
· Document patient rehabilitation progress.
· Schedule and confirm appointments daily.
· Maintain prescription records.
